This is the best free perl editor available. Although the company that developed it, Blue Square Group, Inc., is now charging $129.99 for version 1.1, version 1.0 has a freeware license. It has no nags or advertisements of any kind! This program is not available on any other web site, including the developer's site. The name of the freeware file is CodeMagic_1_1_RC2.exe. Don't let the title fool you, this is version 1.0. In the screenshot, you can see the jump-to-subroutine drop down box in the middle and the open file tabs at the bottom.

SynEdit is rated highly on CNET. The "trim leading spaces" and "trim trailing spaces" features is particularly nice. In the screenshot you can see the right-click context menu that is activated. You can also see, in the lower right corner, that the Perl 5 Default syntax profile is selected; but you may use this editor for editing other programming languages as well.
